We have two private cabins for guest interested in taking the experience to live in our farm, visit our country, or practice and learn Spanish. Also we know about agro-ecology.
You can take Spanish classes or just rent one of the cabins.
We have transport to and from the airport, and to tours with in the country.
We also offer typical tico foods in our home.

Prices $24 /person with 3 meals.

In adition you can receive a spanish course for $60/week.

We are a family who live in a special town in the center of the country, only 11 miles from the capital San Jose and 6 miles from airport Juan Santamaria.

We have an organic farm in Jesus Santa Barbara, Heredia and develop different projects about organic agriculture, with different orchards, organic coffee medicinal plants, tropical fruits, organic fertilizers, natural pesticides and others practices friendly with the environment.

The father was Professor and researcher in National University of Costa Rica for many years, and has experience in agro ecology andagriculture production.

The mother is specialist in teaching to teachers and the daughters working and studying.

In Santa Barbara there are all services, supermarkets, drugstore, restaurants, clinic, excellent public transport to Heredia, San Jose, Alajuela and the principal sights like beandaches national parks.

Barva Volcano

This it is a non active volcano, located to single 15 km of our property, which is surrounded by a majestic rainy forest, where it is possible to be appreciated many species of birds and animals.

That volcano is located in the National Park Braulio, therefore ecologically it is protected. It counts on footpaths that take it to appreciate all the beauties that this offer with complete certainty, including the majestic lagoon that is located in the top of the volcano. all the landscape of the central valley of Costa Rica can here be appreciated, where it is San Jose the capital and the cities of Heredia and Alajuela. Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is the fourth cantons of Heredia. It is located to 7 kilometers of the city of Heredia, to 5 kilometers of the city of Alajuela and 15 kilometers of the San Jose capital. One is to a height of 1140 meters on the level of the sea. Santa Barbara counts on a temperature between 15ºC and 27ºC, on an average of 21ºC and a precipitation average 2300 millimetres annual.

Located to little distance of the San Jose capital, the exuberant and glorious province of Heredia are one of the most beautiful provinces of Costa Rica. Well-known by its green hills full of coffee plantations and their volcanic national parks. If one is in the region, definitively it is worth the trouble to visit the Province of Heredia since it offers as much natural activities as of adventure.

The capital of the province shares the same name of the capital and is located to single 10 km to the north of the San Jose capital. Heredia is one of the biggest cities of Costa Rica, with a very elegant atmosphere. One is proud to have all the attractiveness that Costa Rica can offer and this city is a great place to encamp when tourism by Costa Rica becomes. Heredia has several tourist attractions but probably the famous one is Barva Volcano within the National Park Braulio Cheek. One of the few volcanos that the tourists can climb. In the base of Barva Volcano they are wonderful green pastizales and a majestic forest dimmed near his top.

The National Parks Braulio Carrillo and Tapante are located to the north of Heredia and are filled with a beautiful of wild life. They are nice and dense due to the fallen rain constant and offer to the ornithologists a rare vision of the quetzal, one of the birds culturally more significant of Central America.
